Welcome to Intimate Wellness With Shae!
I'm Shae, a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the Dallas, Texas area, but I serve therapy clients all over the state of Texas and coaching clients all over the WORLD!
More specifically, I am a Certified Sex Therapist (CST), a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP), I'm trained in EMDR (eye movement desensitization & reprocessing) therapy, and I'm also a Sex Coach. I am a graduate of Amberton University, with a Master of Arts in Professional Counseling. I specialize in sex therapy and received my certification from the International Institute of Clinical Sexology. I attended the institute also in pursuit of my PhD in Sexology with a focus on addiction, and I've completed all but the dissertation.
As a certified sex therapist, I have extensive experience in couples sex therapy, trauma counseling, sex/pornography addiction counseling (addict and partner), general sexual issues, mental health/individual counseling, crisis counseling, and I have worked with active military personnel, veterans, and first responders.
I work with couples whose sex lives have fallen short of their expectations, and that have become that 90% issue in the relationship instead of the easy and fun part. I also work with individuals who have been through sexually traumatic experiences and help them through the emotional and physical pain that follows.
I feel that a very important part of the counseling process is the client-therapist relationship, so I strive to provide a comfortable and safe environment for those who are seeking guidance.

Trauma Therapy
We frequently walk through life with pieces of our past hanging around without our full comprehension. At some point in our lives, everyone experiences some level of trauma whether it's "big T or little T" and these experiences can impact us for years to come. By utilizing Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) we can start to heal any lingering wounds at a more accelerated rate than traditional talk therapy.
SexTherapy
Sex is an important part of many couples' and individuals' lives. However, there are times that we aren't able to accomplish what we set out to do. Whether we are lacking intimacy, dealing with sex or porn addiction, experiencing pain during sex, or struggling with past traumatic experiences, with sex therapy interventions we are able to get to the root of the struggles that you're experiencing and begin the healing process.
